
Whitney Wegman-Wood

Whitney Wegman-Wood is a quirky, ingenuitive and daring actor. She is a thoughtful performer with an eccentric and unique view of the world. Wegman-Wood is a driven and articulate entertainer whose policy is to make every day an adventure and strive to never be boring.
Wegman-Wood was born in Columbia, Mo to Fred Wegman, an aeronautics engineer, and Sharon (Hubenthal), a pediatric RN. She has a sister, Hannah Boyer, from her mother’s second marriage. She is of mixed heritage; German, Polish, Czechoslovakia, Scotch-Irish, and English. Wegman began acting in grade school and in church plays around the age of eight. She attended Washington High School where she continued to pursue acting in many of the theater department's plays.
BIO
After graduating Wegman continued her theater education at Avila University in Kansas City, MO. From there she migrated to Atlanta, GA where she found work primarily in film and television. There she appeared in multiple independent films and series, including “Thesis,” “Meet the Browns,” and “The Vampire Diaries.”
Taking a break from working Wegman-Wood returned to school at the University of Virginia to pursue an MFA in Acting. In 2018 she received the SD Film Award for best actress for her portrayal of Carson in the film Valhalla. In 2022 she wrote, produced, and starred in the film The Last Butterflies.
She now works full-time as a performer and acting instructor in multiple markets including New Mexico, California, and Georgia. For acting instruction, class dates/ locations or for film bookings use the contact form.
